Gothic Literature

Gothic Literature has many elements that have a great impact on the emotions of the reader. Which element has the greatest impact though is the real question. I feel that the element of "Horror" has the greatest impact on the audience due to the fact that it mixes feelings of suspense, gut wrenching fear, and a somehow still exciting vibe. In one of the most famous pieces of literature, Frankenstein, you can not help but feel a cloudy blanket of horror come over you when Victor ends up actually bringing "The Monster" to life. Not only is the fact that The Monster was brought to life by using lightning dreary, but the description of how The Monster was created holds a special eery feeling of its own. Pieced together of corpses' apendages and organs, coming back to life from multiple people's previous body parts that made them who they were. Even though the story is not real, the author still has a tedious way of getting an ominous feeling across to her reader. These reasons; the dread, anticipation, and structure of horror, are why I feel horror makes the greatest impact on the reader.

My name

My name is Jeffrey Smith. It means the peace of god. Which is interesting... Because I am probably the most non peaceful and most unrelaxed person you will ever meet. That is beside the point though... I was given my name because my father wanted me named after him. At first he did not want my name to be Jeffrey. He wanted something more interesting, but stuck with Jeffrey... I wish he did not though.  My name is like ramen noodles... It is normal, simple, and  a lot of people dislike it. Anyways, I just think it is interesting that he was so against the name at first and then ended up liking it. Besides all of that as well, my name is a cricket. You hear it  everywhere and it gets annoying. It is not annoying at times because you can just shorten it to Jeff and have only four letters to write down on paper. And truthfully, and has a kind of nice sound to it. So I guess I can not say that I dislike my name. It has its ups and downs. These are just a few things about my name though... There is lot more to it than I know... And I would love to find out what someday!

Be Happy

Many people ask me "Why drink so many energy drinks? They are bad for your health!"... I enjoy the taste of energy drinks, so I drink them. It does not really matter to how bad they are for me, because I like them. Getting onto this topic, people need to start doing what they enjoy. Life was meant to be enjoyed, so why not do something just because other people do not enjoy it. Let us put it this way. If somebody is doing drugs, it is because they enjoy living life with a high more than living it down low and depressed. I have never had any interest in doing drugs, but that is because I enjoy life and love what I do.
Another thing that I am not going to do is change my life to match what other people want me to be. I will straight out say that I am gay and not even care what people have to say about it. I will fight for what I believe in, and for what I love. That speaking, why does it matter what somebody is interested in,. if somebody is Gay, Straight, Black, Hispanic, or anything like that? I am sorry but I enjoy my life and I am going to keep doing what I like. Others should do the same.
